Penny Black Challenge

It's the middle of the week again, I can't believe it as I still haven't made all the card I set out to this week. Never mind here is my PB entry. I used the Picked for You stamp which I just love. The backing papers are from Papermania and the flower punches are X-cut. The little sentiment is Whispas.

Charisma Cardz Challenge

A lovely challenge this week from Charisma cardz. The theme being Cupcakes I just had to use this PB birthday stamp mounted on good old Nesties and on DCWV backing papers, the little sticker is from Papermania.

Belated Thank You

I have had a little problem with our internet lately and realised I had not posted a big thank you to Penny Black Saturday Challenge for winning the circular card # 33 theme. I was taken aback as I have only recently started this challenge. I love PB stamps and am slowly building up my collection. My prize was from 7 Kids College Fund to spend $15. This was easy I went straight to PB and chose stamps. Now I can't wait to receive them in the post. No card a the moment ro upload possibly later.

PB challenge, Romance

It's been a freezing day & evening here so I have shut myself away in my craft room and played. I have made this card for the Penny Black challenge, the theme this week is 'romance'. I used DCWV papers and made silver little hearts in a simlar shape from wire. I love this dog image, he is so cute. The green card hasn't really come out its true colour, it is a muted moss green shade.

65th Anniversary Card

I was asked to make a card for a 65th wedding anniversary. That's a long time married and my friend wanted a special card with the number of years on it, but couldn't find one to buy. So this is what I made, I searched the internet to find out what the gem stone is for this year and it happens to be saphire. I hope the couple like the card.

Preparing for Easter

I'm getting out the spring colours and making some Easter cards. I used a small bunny stamp which I think is Anitas (I can't remember as it quite old). The backing papers are DCWV and good old Nestibilities. I used Copic pens to colour the bunnies. My daughter has two rabbits of the same colours called Pippin & Merry. The bottom one is for Clare's Sketch of the Week at docrafts.

Valentine's Day Box

For Clare's Weekly Challenge over at Docrafts I made this box for Valentine's day. Usually I make cards but for a change I thought I would try this box. I got a box maker a while back but haven't really used it much yet, so here is my effort. I used Basicgrey papers, X-cut & Sizzlet hearts. The large heart is embossed with Cuttlebug Dots. I wonder what I will fill it with ... and who will receive it?

Another 2 Challenges

I made this card for the charisma cardz challenge which is 3 different papers, 2 flowers & 1 ribbon and friday sketchers challenge which is the layout I used. I used Sugar Nellie Sitting with Bear stamp and DCWV papers. The flowers are punched, fibres and gems from my stash. The image is coloured with Copic pens. This was a lovely card to make, a pretty image and great papers.

Colour Create Challenge #2

This weeks colour create challenge is peach & aqua. I found this one a little tricky as I didn't have much with these colours in my stash. So here is my effort, I'm not too happy with it. I haven't used this stamp for ages but I don't think the colours do it justice. The MacIntosh image is from S for stamps.

Tulips

I've been making a few decoupage cards lately with pre-printed images, so for a change I stamped these Funstamp Tulips several times and coloured them with Copic pens. the ovals are Nesties, the heart is X-cut as are the butterflies and the lettering is Sizzlets alphabet. I think I may give this to my Mother-in-Law for Mother's Day.

Just for You

A friend gave me this cute image, sorry don't know what she is called. I coloured her with Copic pens and used American Crafts backing papers (got them in a sale only 25 pence for 12x12 sheet and their double sided). Embellishments are a selection of punched flowers and a Papermania bubble sunflower. These are not colours I would normally use for a little girl but I am happy with the end result.

One for the Boys

I don't know about everyone else but I find male cards diffucult to make. Ideas for them just don't easily, so when I saw an article in Simply Cards and Papercraft for men based on games, I got inspiration. This is what I made for my nephews birthday.

Golf Crazy

I made this card for my nephew who has just taken up golf. This little hedgehog is do cute you can't help but love him. He is Penny Black 'Teed Up' and coloured with Copic pens. The diamond card stock was from Lakeland.
It's a freezing night again so I off to make another card in my cosy craft room.

Penny Black Challenge

I was thrilled to bits when I went over to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge blog to check out this weeks challenge to find I had won the 'Frame It' challenge last week. It is only recently I have started entering this challenge and I am hooked. There are so many lovely crafters out there to give inspiration or just to admire their work.

This week the challenge is a circular card so here is my entry.

Charisma cardz challenge

This is my entry for the charizmacardz challenge. The theme this week is black & white plus 1 colour. I chose yellow to match the bees, my backing paper is dovecraft which I have coloured some of the flower outlines to match. This was a lovely challenge, very enjoyable.

For Someone Special

I entered this into Clare Curd's weekly challenge. She asked for a decoupage card. I have a number of decoupage sheets from calendars and magazine freebies. This one is a Margaret Sherry decoupage from a calendar. the bears are layered onto heart vellum and a Dots embossed panel set in a Nestibilities ring.

Love to you

This was an image my friend Vera gave to me, I thought I would try a little distressing. Not quite my style but I like to have a go anyway at new techniques. Again I used free backing papers from a magazine. The image is coloured with Copic pens (still building up my stock so limited colours yet). The hearts are Sizzlets.
