Less is More

I have tried to put a card on here for the past few nights, but I have been very busy. My hubby and I are on holiday this week. We had our 36th Wedding Anniversary yesterday and it was our son's birthday the other day too, so went to St. Andrews for dinner last night. Our son stays there so we took a lovely drive up the east coast  of Fife and had a lovely meal in the evening. Today we were looking after our Grandson. Finn just loves his Grandad and stuck to him like glue today. We had a fun day and ended up having dinner at my Daughter's tonight, so we didn't get home till late again.
Tonight is the first chance I have had to look at my blog and this card took about 10 minutes to make.
I used Cuttlebug Dots, Nesties, Sizzix stars, free sentiment stamp for mag and beads from my stash.

I have just had a wonderful surprise when putting my entry into the Less is More challenge, my card from last week has been showcased. I am really excited and have just put my badge onto my sidebar. Thanks Mandy and Chrissie.

It's November already and another week for Top Tip Tuesday
This week we have a great tutorial by  Samantha making your own background papers with Impressibilities.
 Our challenge this week is...
Get inky making your own background papers.

Our sponsors this week are:-

Here is my card, I made my background with Artemio stamps and chalks and ink, It doesn't show the colours too well. I punches a large Woodware flower and leaves, and cover the flower centre with little hearts.

I must admit it is fun making your own background papers, it make the card a little more personal and it can match your embellishments perfectly.
So get messy and let us see your cards.

This is a commissioned card for a bereavement. I like to make those simple, uncluttered and not too heavily coloured. I do like this card and i think it could by used for numerous occasions by changing the sentiment.

I used Nesties, Marianne flowers and leaves, Cuttlebug dots embossing folder.
