Another 2 weeks have gone by and we are nearing the end of February. I have only 1 more day of work and then I am retiring. I think tomorrow will be of mixed feelings. I will miss all of my colleagues, but I am looking forward to spending more time with my husband and of course hopefully more time to craft....

I love to make cards for unusual occasions. They are a real challenge. The card I have made here is for a police passing out parade. 

I have chosen this card I made recently for a friend who couldn't find a suitable card to buy for a police passing out  celebration.

I tried to bring in the theme with the chequered border but still keep the card girly.

Aud Sentiments #146

"Happy New Year! It's always fun to start a new year with a clean slate.  Did you make any new years resolutions?  Did you get lots of new crafty goodies you can't wait to try out?  

     With this new year Aud Sentiments is moving in a new direction.  We are making some changes to our challenges.  We will continue to host challenges every two weeks with a sentiment as part of the project.  The biggest change will be the DT will be showcasing projects with more variety. In this new year we hope to broaden our crafty wings and provide sample projects beyond cards.  You will see altered art, scrapbook pages, tags, pocket letters, home decor and much more. Of course we will still be making cards, but with more folds, shapes and variety of techniques used.  We hope you, our challenge participants, join us in stretching beyond your comfort zone and make projects that really show us your crafty side."

I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. Here is hoping that 2016 is going to be a good year.
